Position/Title: Machine Operator

Overall Responsibility:
The Machine Operator will operate or control any machinery relating to packaging as required and to the relevant product specifications.
Focus Area 1
Machine Operator
- Apply Fundamental/Situational Knowledge of Packaging Equipment and Processes
- Assist in managing material usages and waste on shift
- Operate machine and equipment according to the SOP
- Adhere to safe working practices at all times.
- Adhere to food safety related rules and activities as per factory instructions
- Maintain housekeeping standards in his area of operation - Maintain 5S standard
- Comply with OSH act and other safety regulations
Requirements of the Role:
- Matriculation
- Packaging Learnership advantageous
- 1 year experience operating a machine
Preferred Skills/Competencies:
- Operate plant and process equipment
- Maintain a safe and healthy working environment
- Willing to work shifts assigned according to the schedule
- Work in teams
- Good Record Keeping
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
