Responsible for all planning, coordinating and controlling of repair, service and maintenance jobs for a team of Service Artisans to comply with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) standards and customer requirements.
Key Outputs
- Planning, scheduling, and monitoring job progress and work in progress (WIP) by using an appropriate planning system.
- Planning cost elements on service jobs (Labour, Parts and Bought outs).
- Achievement of maximum productivity and profitability.
- Apply warranty policies and procedures, including service warranty.
- Issuing job instructions and dispatching artisans (briefing).
- Initiation and control of Bought Out requests.
- Follow up on parts, quotes, and service reports.
- Assist with achievement of Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s).
- Assist with effective control of cost centre expenses and Work-in-Progress.
- Resolve internal and external customer queries.
Qualification, Experience and Competencies
- Trade certificate (Diesel or Heavy Earthmoving Mechanic) advantageous.
- Minimum 3 years relevant experience.
- Computer Literacy (MS Office, SIS, STW / ET, CAT inspect, myCat.com).
- SAP knowledge advantageous.
- Good communication skills and customer relations.
- Must be a team player and be willing to work overtime.
- Problem-solving skills and technical competence, rule orientation, and mechanical reasoning.
- Verbal and written communication skills.
- Understanding the service work order process, attention to detail, teamwork.
