Job Brief:
Urang manages over 400 Residential and Commercial blocks across London and continues to expand as a result of recommendations from clients and lessees who are happy with the attention they receive from our management team. Urang also offers a property management service for landlords who let their property.

This makes us swift, flexible and responsive, allowing us to absorb new instructions of any size with ease, so that our clients can be confident their buildings are managed with the utmost professionalism from day one. We are now looking to hire a Service Charge Accountant who is looking for career development to work alongside our finance team based in London, you will be working with a team of Service Charge Account Managers, Credit Controllers, Accounts Administrators and Property Managers and will be reporting to the Head of Service Charge Accounts.
To this end, the ideal candidate will have relevant experience in the property industry and have good knowledge of service charge accounting.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare accruals, prepayments, and trial balances.
- Produce annual leasehold and company accounts following ACCA/ICAEW standards.
- Coordinate with external accountants/auditors during audits.
- Communicate daily with property managers to resolve financial inquiries and allocate costs.
- Manage year-end surplus/deficit charges for lessee accounts.
- Conduct bank reconciliations and manage service charge and ground demands.
- Support accounts payable/receivable activities and handle unpaid supplier invoices.
- Assist in arrears collection with credit controllers.
- Draft budgets, including 10-year plans, and process approved budgets.
Requirements:
- Degree and professional qualification (SAICA or equivalent).
- Strong communication, team management, and technical skills.
- Experience in property accounting, proficiency in MS Excel/Word.
- Ability to meet deadlines with keen attention to detail.
Working Hours:
Monday – Friday, 09:00am to 18:00pm
Salary:
R23,000-R24,000 per month (DOE)
