Qualifications and Experience:
BSc/BEng/BTech in Civil Engineering.
Candidate must be professionally registered with ECSA as a Pr Engineer or Pr Technologist.
A minimum of 5 years verifiable experience in construction monitoring and/or supervision (i.e., actively involved with ECSA-Stage 5 related responsibilities).
A minimum of 10 years verifiable experience in the design of civil and/or building related infrastructure (e.g., pump stations, pipelines, water retaining structures and hydraulic control structures).
A candidate who has experience in generating construction drawings (for civil or building/structural work) shall be preferred.
Responsibilities:
Be responsible for civil and structural related designs in water related projects.
Review detailed design drawings for civil and building works.
Project Management.
Generate and review civil and structural designs and contract documentation for construction of water related projects.
Assist or be responsible for construction and contract administration.
Monitor and report on the project programme and financial expenditure.
Generate and/or implement Engineer’s quality control plan and monitor construction works.
Measurement and certification of completed work inclusive of cash flow forecasts.
Issuing of site instructions, variation orders, drawings, etc.
Compile reports and as-built data in accordance with the Employer's standard requirements.
Strong communication and people relation skills.
Astute learner and work well in a team environment.
Must have a valid driver’s license and own vehicle and must be willing to travel.
Proficient in Autodesk design packages (Revit, AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D).
Proficient in Windows Office (Excel & Word as a minimum).
Remuneration:
Negotiable and based on the candidate's qualifications and years of relevant experience.
