We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Warranty Administrator with a solid foundation in diesel mechanics to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for a mature professional with strong phone, computer, and customer service skills.
Job Summary:
As a Warranty Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and processing warranty claims, coordinating with customers, manufacturers, and service teams, and ensuring all necessary documentation is completed accurately and efficiently. You will need to have a solid understanding of diesel engine systems to assist with troubleshooting and assessing warranty issues. Your role will also involve effective communication with customers and vendors, utilizing computer systems to manage warranty claims, and providing timely support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and process warranty claims for diesel-related issues.
- Communicate with customers, suppliers, and manufacturers to resolve warranty issues.
- Verify that all warranty claims meet required criteria and ensure all necessary documentation is complete.
- Liaise with the service department to troubleshoot and assess mechanical issues covered under warranty.
- Maintain organized records of warranty claims, approvals, and follow-up actions.
- Handle customer inquiries professionally via phone and email, providing clear and effective communication.
- Use computer systems to input and track claims, generate reports, and maintain accurate records.
- Ensure timely resolution of claims and follow through on outstanding issues.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic with strong technical knowledge of diesel engine systems.
- Previous experience in a warranty administration role is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent phone etiquette and customer service abilities.
- Proficiency in computer applications (MS Office Suite, warranty claim management systems, etc.).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Mature, professional demeanour with the ability to handle a variety of situations calmly and effectively.
