The Chief Sales Officer (CSO) will build and manage the sales business function across Sub-Saharan Africa. Key responsibilities include:
- Improving the performance of existing sales channels and activating new ones.
- Running an effective sales operating model.
- Growing and leading high-performance sales teams across various sales channels.
- Achieving revenue and contract value targets, and managing key commercial metrics (e.g., contribution margin, EBIT, and cash flow).
- Reporting directly to the CEO and serving on the Executive Committee.
The ideal Chief Sales Officer candidate should have:
- 10 years of experience in IT software solutions sales, with expertise in SaaS and sales negotiations.
- Strong abilities in both strategic and lateral thinking, with a proven track record in B2B sales.
- Experience managing growth in partnership with sales teams and channels.
- Excellent presentation skills and comfort negotiating complex sales at the C-Level.
- Sub-Saharan Africa experience in digital solutions, especially within public enterprises and multinational corporate environments.
- A tertiary qualification in science or commerce.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Willingness to travel extensively across Africa for channel and customer engagements.
- Lives in Johannesburg.
