Job Brief
Leading Financial Services Client requires a Kubernetes Platform Engineer to join their team and assist in the constant automation and configuration of the Kubernetes environments.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain Linux platforms to ensure stability and continued high performance of the platforms and applications.
- Assist in implementing, managing, and configuring environment, platform, and application monitoring.
- Assist in the constant automation and configuration of the Kubernetes environments.
- Participate in DevOps, monitoring, release, and configuration management.
- Work with advanced Linux implementations as well as hardware configured environments.
Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric.
- Tertiary qualification in Information Technology and Linux Certification recommended.
- 4+ years experience in the Information Technology sector and runtime operations support in some form.
- 2+ years as an advanced Linux user with experience in RedHat, JBoss EAP (or Wildfly), Kubernetes, and Rancher.
- Knowledge of APIs, REST, and SOAP services and exposure to scripting.
Operational support, standby, and after-hours support is required.
