Introduction

The above vacancy exists within the Legal Services to provide strategic legal support to the business in line with the approved organisational and departmental strategy. This includes partnering with other departments in order to improve the legal services rendered to the company as well as playing a support role to the Legal Services’ General Manager. The ideal candidate will be someone who has successfully completed an LLB degree, with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience as well as minimum 3 years of music industry experience.

Ability to manage stakeholders (attorneys, legal consultants, service providers etc.).
Ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure.
Ability to oversee and manage legal projects.
Excellent computer skills (including word processing and spreadsheet packages).
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Understanding of copyright law is preferable.
Experience with employment law matters is preferable.
