The IFRS Accountant will assist in identifying potential risks to the profitability of this division. The role will be the link between operations and finance, ensuring that all regulatory requirements are met while ensuring that the entrepreneurial nature of the division is not compromised.
Duties & Responsibilities
Overall responsibility for completeness and accuracy and timely completion of the monthly management accounts, ensuring technical compliance with Companies Act for all trading divisions outside South Africa. The IFRS Accountant will ensure that the divisions’ management accounts are a relevant performance management tool for the short-, medium- and long-term.
Responsibilities Include (but not limited to):
- Assisting the Africa and IFRS Financial Controller with providing financial advice and support to senior management to enable them to make sound business decisions.
- Assisting with the consolidated reporting of IFRS for the group and detailed IFRS reporting for the rest of Africa division.
Education
- CA(SA)
- 0-2 years post articles experience
- Budget, planning and forecast experience or interest
- Management accounting experience or interest
- Financial and tax regulatory knowledge
