An established manufacturer of specialised agricultural products is seeking a young Technical Sales Representative

A Technical Sales Representative with a strong technical background and some sales experience is required to support clients and agents in the KZN region, focusing on technical and solution selling of chemical and biological packages.
Duties & Responsibilities
Minimum requirements for the role:
- Must have an Agricultural Degree
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in sales within the Agricultural industry
- Sound understanding of Integrated Pest Management principles is essential
- An AVCASA certification is advantageous
- Can be based anywhere in KZN as this is a remote role
- Must have a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel within the region
- Good communication skills, specifically in English, with the ability to interface with internal and external stakeholders of all levels
The successful candidate will be responsible for: - Providing technical & sales support to the value chain whilst driving the sales strategy within their areas of operations in order to achieve company targets.
- Increasing market share and adding value through monitoring networks and infrastructure.
- Developing, managing and implementing customer and area budgets.
- Managing relationships with and developing key agents within the distribution network.
- Using information and social networks to problem solve and add value throughout the supply chain.
- Contributing to developing sales and route to market strategy for each territory within the designated area of operation.
- Actively contributing towards the group's information management strategy.
- Managing product application services within the designated territory.
- Being actively involved in local communities, representing the company’s brand in line with the company’s corporate values.
- Developing a deep understanding of Integrated Pest management and key drivers of a holistic approach to satisfy market needs.
