Dispatch Supervisor
We are currently recruiting for a Dispatch Supervisor to join the dynamic team based in Montague Gardens.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintain workflow by motivating drivers and vehicle loading assistants to work fast and correctly.
- Check that drivers and vehicle loading assistants are at work and report absentees timeously to the Logistics Manager.
- Ensure that drivers and vehicle loading assistants plus you are wearing clean undamaged protective clothing as per company policy.
- Assist the Logistics Manager in planning the daily dispatch routes and loading activities.
- Source completed invoices from invoicing personnel.
- Ensure that all routes are documented on the trip sheet allocated to the delivery route.
- Ensure that all individual orders are marked off on the correct invoice copy when loading.
- Coordinate and control loading of final orders.
- Ensure products are checked for deviations from quality standards such as labels, lot or batch numbers, and packaging before loading.
- Ensure all products are correctly weighed before loading.
- Ensure good housekeeping practices in the dispatch area.
- Implement and maintain measures to reduce wastage of and damage to stock being loaded.
- Ensure that temperature controls for the dispatch area and all products to be loaded are adhered to.
- Train new personnel in loading actions.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Must have a Matric Certificate.
- Must have a minimum of 2 years experience in Dispatch Supervision.
Package & Remuneration
Salary – R12000 – R13000 CTC.
