Introduction
A vacancy exists at Medilogistics for a Logistics Manager based in Durban, reporting to the Regional Manager. The responsibility involves overall management and oversight of the branches in the specific region.
Responsibilities:
- Adherence to the company policies and procedures within the basic conditions of the employment act.
- Ability to focus on customer needs and customer service while ensuring that all policies and procedures are met.
- Responsible for the financial and operational needs of the branches as a whole.
- Responsible for management and cost-cutting measures in the regions.
- Responsible for the swift resolution of customer queries.
- Reviewing business processes on an ongoing basis to ensure efficient and effective operations.
- Responsible for developing and maintaining high employee morale and dedication to serving customers, conducting all activities in a manner consistent with respect for people values and company policies.
- Responsible for IR matters in the region.
- Responsible for recruitment and training of new employees and ongoing training to ensure quality and productivity goals are met or exceeded.
- Lead, direct, train, and manage the performance of the regional team.
- Demonstrate effectiveness in holding conversations with customers, customer evangelism, and customer-focused product development and outreach.
- Prioritize incoming inquiries and convert them into live business.
- Monitor branch reports on a daily basis.
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12
- National Diploma (3yrs) or Higher in Logistics / Distribution / Freight / Courier or Supply Chain Management / Business Management
Experience:
- Computer Literacy.
- Logistics experience with a proven track record.
- Management or operational experience.
- IR experience.
