Assistant Food and Beverage Manager – Fine Dining
Our Client is looking for an Assistant Food and Beverage Manager – Fine Dining, located in Pretoria.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide quality service to customers and colleagues, maintaining food and beverage services according to hotel standards.
- Maintain the restaurant’s revenue, profitability, and quality goals.
- Ensure efficient restaurant operation while maintaining high production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards.
- Lead all aspects of the business.
- Deliver a high-quality menu and motivate staff to provide excellent customer service.
- Oversee the dining room, check in with customers, and balance seating capacity.
- Maintain working knowledge of the employee handbook, policy, and procedure manual.
- Provide consistent service to both internal and external customers.
- Maintain hygiene in back of house areas, kitchens, and storerooms.
- Ensure cleanliness in front of house and back of house food and beverage areas.
- Look after and properly store operating equipment.
- Maintain high levels of personal hygiene and appearance.
- Work safely, adhering to all hotel health and safety precautions.
- Attend hotel and departmental meetings and training sessions as necessary.
- Coordinate daily Front of House and Back of House restaurant operations.
- Deliver superior service and maximize customer satisfaction.
- Control operational costs and identify measures to cut waste.
- Appraise staff performance and provide feedback to improve productivity.
- Create detailed reports on weekly, monthly, and annual revenues and expenses.
- Promote the brand in the local community through word-of-mouth and restaurant events.
- Train new and current employees on proper customer service practices.
Job Knowledge & Skills Required
- Proven knowledge of a Fine Dining Restaurant, with excellent wine knowledge.
- Management skills and experience in both front and back of the house.
- Familiarity with restaurant management software.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Minimum Qualifications: Hospitality Diploma.
Package & Remuneration
R20 000 - R22 000 CTC.
