Wage & Finance Administrator – Fishing Industry
Our client in the Fishing industry is currently looking to employ a Wage / Finance Administrator based in Port Elizabeth. A wonderful career opportunity awaits you.
Duties & Responsibilities
Requirements:
- Matric essential.
- Tertiary qualification in Finance highly advantageous.
- Minimum 3 – 5 years’ experience in a similar industry.
- Experience in Pastel essential.
Responsibilities and expectations include but are not limited to:
- Compile the fishing vessel crew wage sheets and payslips.
- Draw docking day subs and hand over to the 1st office for payout once offloading is complete.
- Update the EMP 501 schedule to ensure PAYE, UIF, and SDL are reconciled and paid.
- Ensure retainers are paid on the 25th of each month by compiling payslips and sending to Head Office timeously.
- Track Squid cost for stock valuations.
- Help with reconciling advances.
- Ensure creditors' invoices are correct when requested by finance.
- Review attendance registers before submitting to Finance for payment.
