A position has become available for a Store Manager to join our dynamic team, based in Inanda - KZN.
To manage and lead the store effectively by ensuring every aspect of the day-to-day supervision of the Build it store. This includes sales, staff, stock and resources management.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
- Ensure sales and costs are in line with the budget.
- Manage gross profit by ensuring shrinkage kept to budgeted amount.
- Support the stores annual budget process.
- Increase customer count by:
- Making effective use of store promotions
- Ensure all staff understand their role in making home building simple for their customers
- All products price marked accurately and merchandised correctly
- Log and action customer complaints daily.
- Ensure deliveries are actioned promptly and accurately.
- Management and leadership of staff ensuring that:
- Staff mentoring and coaching arranged according to staff development needs
- Staff motivation activities arranged for staff
- Staff absenteeism meets store targets
- Disciplinary and grievance process conducted timeously in a manner that is procedurally and substantively fair
- Maintain stock value at correct level for store size.
- Manage stock ordering process, KVI’s always in stock.
- Fleet Management.
- Ensure store security is maintained.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Matric.
- 3-5 years of retail management experience.
- Good computer skills with IQ (or equivalent) a requirement.
- Interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Passion for people and retail.
- High level of flexibility.
- Ability to adapt to different customers.
- Great written and verbal communication skills.
- Natural talent for motivating and developing teams.
