The Regional Market Leader (RML), Personal Protection, Middle East & Africa (MEA) is responsible for leading the regional cross-functional business team to ensure collective achievement and execution of the Personal Protection segment’s financial objectives and innovation-led growth programs. In this capacity, the RML is accountable for Personal Protection’s regional revenue and gross contribution performance and will be accountable for delivery of the region’s integrated business planning inputs.
In addition to regional Personal Protection segment team leadership, the RML is also expected to serve as the Strategic Marketing functional expert. The RML will develop the deep understanding of regional market trends, needs-based customer segmentation, value chain analysis, 4P’s of marketing, and competitive landscape dynamics needed to underscore 5-year strategy and execution plans to continually reinforce Nomex & Kevlar leadership in existing markets and drive profitable growth in emerging market verticals.
The MEA RML is expected to personally demonstrate and cultivate within the region’s cross-functional segment team, a strong external focus that proactively develops close working relationships with Nomex & Kevlar customers and partners.
The MEA RML will serve as a senior member of the global Personal Protection segment operating team and will report directly to the Global Market Leader, Personal Protection.
RML Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement critical priorities and execution plans that drive regional sales and profitability growth that are aligned with global strategies.
- Drive regional sales planning and forecasting, while monitoring performance to adjust tactics as necessary.
- Develop marketing strategies and execution plans for pricing, route to market, aligned with global strategies, brand promotion / licensing, and partnership with key value chain players and end customers based on needs-based segmentation.
- Collaborate with regional sales and technology leadership to ensure resources are effectively prioritized and aligned with segment objectives.
- Engage and assess customer needs and preferences to identify market trends and forecast demand.
- Drive execution in partnership with sales, technology and Market Development Leaders of innovation portfolio, aligned with regionally based needs and own resulting regional growth performance.
- Partner with Supply Chain on optimization needs required to effectively service the market.
- Leverage industry knowledge and market research to identify opportunities for regional expansion.
- Collaborate with other regional RMLs to support strategic partner growth initiatives.
- Analyze competitor activities and market trends to ensure Nomex & Kevlar stay ahead of the curve.
- Build and maintain productive business relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or relevant field.
- Several years of relevant experience; leadership or people management experience is a plus.
- Exceptional leadership and influence management skills in a matrix organization structure.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Knowledge and experience in the region's market conditions and industry trends.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and grow relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
- Commitment to meeting assigned sales goals and objectives.
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a diverse team environment.
