Have you recently completed or will you soon complete your Engineering Degree? A manufacturing company based in Wadeville has an exciting opportunity for an Engineering Graduate. The successful incumbent will report to the Group Energy manager.
The Incumbent will gain solid work experience in the engineering field and develop a good understanding of the Energy, Carbon and Sustainability space.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
▪ Provide engineering input to Group Energy and Carbon Management;
▪ Track energy performance of solar PV plants and oversee Operations and Maintenance subcontractors;
▪ Plant walk-throughs; identification and implementation of energy efficiency and renewable energy projects with support from existing team;
▪ Data analysis and review to identify opportunities for further energy savings;
▪ Collecting information and preparing the Pollution Prevention Plan and other governmental reporting;
▪ Liaison, administration and facilitation with teams implementing projects for Group Energy;
▪ Health & Safety, environmental and all legal compliance;
▪ Contribute to capital projects;
▪ Provide input into root cause failure analysis to be able to develop and implement improvements to maintenance and engineering;
▪ Utilize a high level of computer literacy to provide input into engineering systems within the department and across disciplines;
▪ Investigate and implement solutions to engineering and energy problems;
▪ Be actively involved with the implementation of projects;
▪ Upkeep of administration tasks to ensure good control;
▪ Work with employees and contractors to achieve project and departmental goals; and
▪ Perform ad-hoc tasks as and when required by the team.
REQUIREMENTS:
Qualifications:
▪ Matric Certificate with Mathematics (Higher Grade);
▪ BSc or BEng in Electrical or Electronic, Chemical and / or Mechanical Engineering; and
▪ Post Graduate Energy and / or Carbon Qualification advantageous.
Job Requirements:
▪ MS Office Competence.
