We have a fantastic opportunity for a Property Finance Manager South join our team based nationally with flexible working.The salary on offer is up to £75,000 (depending on experience) with eligibility for our annual 10% bonus & car allowance.
This is a full time, 6-month fixed term contract.
About the role:
The purpose of this role is to oversee all regional and property accounting ensuring property costs and income are accurate and timely accounted for.
Its remit as an NHSPS leader extends beyond the functional role and is expected to fulfil a wider leadership role across the organisation, including:
Communicating vision, strategy and setting the cultural tone of NHSPS by role-modelling and embedding values and behaviours
Enabling collaboration across the business and removing barriers to action and delivery
Building organisational resilience through spotting and developing talent within and beyond their own functions, attracting high calibre people to fill vacancies and retaining great people
Leading and embedding change and other organisational initiative
Tackling inefficiencies and driving continuous improvement
What you will bring to the role:
Own and manages all process and activities around Regional and Property financial accounting (~£200m of Income and Costs).
Champion a continuous improvement approach across finance and operations including the maximisation of Shared Services.
Provides financial support to Estates Delivery Partners.
Reporting and Planning
Accountable for Regional I&E monthly results and R&Os at Service, Property and Customer level.
Manages the production of the monthly regional management accounts, including KPI reporting and variance analysis on P&L and Balance Sheet.
Manages the monthly reviews on Income and Expenditure at a property level, driving financial accountability with Senior Estates Managers.
Customer Financial Delivery and Engagement
Responsible for Property budgets and regional insight including comparison to the corporate budget.
Responsible for accuracy of billing (DCN/DCRs) including minimisation of On-stops.
Responsible for putting together Customer financial I&E reviews for internal and external purposes.
Responsible for the production of Annual Charging Schedules and Annual Reconciliation within corporate deadlines.
Responsible for the Regional Corporate budget and input into Quarterly Forecasts.
Supports the Agreement of Balances process at customer level
Control
Ensures the recovery of costs from customers is in line with company policy (Irrecoverables, Self Occupied, Vacant unfunded, etc).
Ensures consistent application of financial policies and processes.
Responsible for inputs to accounting models (Income, Bad debt, etc)
Support the external audit process as required.
People
Increase the capabilities of the team to provide insightful strategic and operational support, improved performance, as well as enhanced usage of our decision-enablement tools. The maximization of Shared Services and a rigorous performance management approach would be key enablers.
Drive end to end accountability of Property I&E at individual level.
