Job Title: Chemical Engineer, Process Design Location: Limpopo, Waterberg District, Lephalale Job Type: 6 month Contract, expected to work Full-Time hours Job Duties: Developing and designing processes for chemical manufacturing Conducting research to improve existing processes and develop new ones Collaborating with other engineers and professionals to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget Performing process simulations and optimisation to improve efficiency Troubleshooting issues and providing technical support during project implementation Required Qualifications: Mechanical, Civil, Structural, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering, Professional Engineer with Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) Experience with process design software Experience: A minimum of 10 years of experience in chemical systems design, specifically related to: Flue Gas Desulfurization (FGD) systems or similar chemical process systems. Wastewater treatment processes, chemical handling, and byproduct management. Previous experience in designing chemical processes for power generation or industrial plants is highly desirable. Proven experience in process flow development, mass and energy balance calculations, and chemical reaction engineering. Knowledge and Skills: Strong understanding of chemical engineering principles Excellent problem-solving skills Ability to work in a team and independently Good communication and project management skills
