About the role
We looking for a Communications/Public Relations Intern who will be responsible for managing the organization's public image and communication strategies, collaborating with the marketing team to ensure consistent messaging across all platforms. The Officer will work under the supervision of the Marketing and Client Liaison Officer Who plays a vital role in bridging the gap between clients and the organization, ensuring that marketing efforts are aligned with client needs and organizational goals.
Responsibilities:
- Develop press releases.
- Manage media relations.
- Handle crisis communications.
- Addresses inquiries from the public, press, and related organizations,
- Arranges interviews,
- Provide essential support for the implementation of client events, marketing campaigns, and brand awareness initiatives, all aimed at raising awareness and promoting the organization's initiatives to the public.
Requirements: - A Matric certificate.
- Strong communication and public relations skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail.
- Writing, presentation, listening, and management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and familiarity with social media platforms.
- Must not have taken part in the YES Program before.
- South African unemployed youth aged between 18 and 34.
