Senior Financial Reporting Specialist , you will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with IFRS and other relevant standards. The ideal candidate will be a
qualified Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) with
2-3 years of post-articles experience , who possesses strong technical skills and a passion for delivering high-quality financial information.
Key Responsibilities: - Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
- Assist in the consolidation of group financial statements, including intercompany reconciliations and elimination entries.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, regulations, and internal policies.
- Support the preparation of statutory reports and regulatory submissions.
- Conduct variance analysis on financial results, providing insights and recommendations to management.
- Coordinate with external auditors during the audit process, ensuring timely and accurate provision of information.
- Participate in the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring adherence to deadlines.
- Stay updated with the latest changes in accounting standards and assess their impact on the companys financial reporting.
- Provide technical accounting support and guidance to other members of the finance team.
- Drive process improvements and efficiencies within the financial reporting function.
Qualifications & Skills: - Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) with 2-3 years of post-articles experience is essential.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and experience with financial reporting standards.
- Experience in financial statement preparation, consolidation, and compliance.
- Proficiency in financial reporting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) is advantageous.
- Excellent analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience within Financial Services industry is essential.
