Role Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for architecting, optimizing, and maintaining complex systems that support our human capital management platforms. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including software engineers, product managers, data scientists, and HCD experts to deliver seamless and scalable solutions that enhance learning, performance tracking, and talent development initiatives.
As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining the technical architecture that supports our Human Capital Development solutions. Key Responsibilities: - System Architecture & Design: Lead the design and development of robust, scalable, and secure systems to support HCD platforms, ensuring they meet both technical and business requirements.
- Infrastructure Management: Oversee the architecture and management of cloud-based and on-premise infrastructure, ensuring high availability, disaster recovery, and security for critical applications.
- Compiling Project SEMPs, technical schedules, WBS & SOWs.
- Integration: Develop and manage integration between HCD platforms and other organizational systems (HRIS, LMS, Performance Management systems, etc.), ensuring seamless data flow and operational efficiency.
- Automation & Efficiency: Drive automation initiatives to streamline development, deployment, and monitoring processes, reducing manual intervention and improving system reliability.
- Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor and optimize system performance, addressing issues related to scalability, speed, and reliability to ensure a smooth user experience.
- Collaboration & Leadership: Work closely with internal teams (product, engineering, data analytics) to ensure system design aligns with organizational goals and client needs. Mentor junior engineers and lead technical discussions and decision-making processes.
- Security & Compliance: Ensure all systems are designed with security best practices, maintaining compliance with industry regulations, such as GDPR and other data protection laws.
- Troubleshooting & Support: Proactively identify system issues and bottlenecks, troubleshoot complex technical problems, and provide ongoing system support
- Executing FMECA and implementing safety in design
- Compiling Project SEMPs, technical schedules, WBS & SOWs.
Experience: - Physical, hands-on integration, testing and evaluation of electronic and mechanical systems.
- Undertaking engineering activities throughout all lifecycle phases of the system under development, with particular focus on the concurrent engineering aspects and the design for supportability aspects.
- Leading engineering tasks and analysis without supervision, employing academic and practical knowledge gained on the job.
- Functioning simultaneously across multiple domains, teams and on multiple systems.
- Leading the development and implementation of engineering processes.
- Using advanced interpersonal skills in order to influence change in complex systems behaviour and operational environments.
- Coaching and mentoring in engineering, particularly systems engineering.

Qualifications - Tech (Eng) with 13+ years of relevant experience OR
- Eng./B.Sc. (Eng) with 9+ years of relevant experience OR
- M.Eng with 7+ years of relevant experience OR
- PhD/D. Eng with 5+ years of relevant experience
Technical Skills - Expertise in system design, architecture, and infrastructure management (cloud, on-premise, hybrid).
- Strong proficiency with server administration, networking, and operating systems (Linux, Windows).
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and automation tools (Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins).
- Strong understanding of databases (SQL, NoSQL) and data integration tools.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to think critically and provide innovative solutions to complex problems.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience managing large-scale systems projects with the ability to balance priorities, deliver on time, and meet business objectives.
