SYSTEMS, SOFTWARE, AND BUSINESS PROCESSES PROJECT MANAGEMENT
We are looking for an experienced lead project manager who will be responsible for overseeing the work of the project management department and ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.
The successful candidate must have extensive experience working in the project management field and have a deep understanding of how projects should be planned, organized, and executed. The Department's area of expertise is projects that relate to systems, software, and business processes etc.
The Lead Project Manager should effectively make plans that support project goals and lead their team to perform efficiently.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Management - planning, executing, monitoring, controlling, and closing out project:
- Discussing the goals and needs for a specific project, executing, monitoring, controlling, and closing out projects.
- Assess the needs together with the relevant stakeholders where applicable.
- Managing clients at all phases of the project, including establishing expectations, responding to questions, and resolving issues.
- Identify potential issues early on so they can take steps to mitigate any problems before they become serious concerns.
- Develop project schedules and execute according to plan.
- Developing and maintaining a project schedule and keeping it updated as the project progresses.
- Monitoring budgets, resource allocation, timelines, and other key metrics to ensure project milestones are met.
- Leading project meetings.
- Facilitating meetings with stakeholders to ensure effective communication about projects.
- Reviewing all deliverables to ensure they meet quality standards and align with company guidelines and standards.
- Identifying and communicating changes that may affect the projects scope or timeline.
- Perform cost estimates and prepare proposals.
- Track actual project costs against budgeted costs and proactively address potential problems.
- Compete risk assessments.
- Ensuring that all legal requirements are met throughout the life of the project.
Team Management - managing the team's performance
- Managing team members by delegating tasks and setting expectations for performance.
- Overseeing team member performance and providing feedback to improve performance.
- Responsible for bi-annual performance reviews and development plans.
- Responsible for the implementation and review of individual role profiles.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelors degree in related field;
- 5-8 years of experience in project management;
- Minimum of 3 years in systems, software, and business processes project management;
- Minimum 3 years experience in leading/overseeing a team of project managers;
- Passion for system development and implementation is critical;
- Technical system skills advantageous;
- Commercial property industry experience advantageous.
- Familiarity with project management software and tools.
