We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Junior Process Engineer to join our team at a Chemical Manufacturing Plant in Atlantis. The successful candidate will assist in optimizing manufacturing processes, ensuring safe operations, and enhancing productivity. Key Responsibilities
- Process Improvement : Assist in analyzing and improving existing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and maintain quality standards.
- Data Collection & Analysis : Gather and interpret data on production processes, equipment performance, and material usage to identify opportunities for optimization.
- Safety & Compliance : Ensure that all processes adhere to safety standards and comply with environmental regulations, actively promoting a culture of safety.
- Troubleshooting : Assist in diagnosing and resolving process issues, working closely with the production team to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
- Documentation & Reporting : Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for processes, equipment, and safety protocols, including process maps and technical reports.
- Project Support : Support senior engineers in projects focused on new process development, modifications, or scaling of manufacturing processes.
- Cross-functional Collaboration : Work closely with quality control, maintenance, and production teams to ensure seamless operations and product consistency.
Requirements
- Education : Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering is required.
- Experience : While this is an entry-level position, 1-2 years of experience in a chemical manufacturing environment will be advantageous.
- Technical Skills :
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a solid understanding of chemical processes.
- Familiarity with process simulation software (e.g., Aspen HYSYS) is a plus.
- Communication Skills : Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Teamwork : Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a cross-functional team in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
- Attention to Detail : High level of accuracy and attention to detail in managing process data and documentation.
