Contract Manager required for a local contractor UK Travel

Your new role
As an integral part of the management team, you will be expected to utilise your team of site managers, foremen and quantity surveyors to ensure the successful completion of multiple fit out projects and / or a large-scale project throughout the United Kingdom while reporting your progress to and with the senior management team.Some of your responsibilities will include:We are looking for an experienced Contracts Manager who is proactive who would undertake theFollowing:- Review contract details, tender docs and pre-construction information.- You must be able to exercise good contractual knowledge on JCT and D&B contracts- Review tender programme and create construction programme and information releaseSchedules.- Initiate site mobilisation and overseeing site set up is implemented.- Hold pre-start meetings with subcontractors.- Travel for projects weekly.- Liaise closely with the project QS and Site manager to ensure cost control.- Manage approved subcontractors to ensure health and safety is upheld and programmeRequirements are met.- Monitor live projects for quality of work, cost, and programme implications.- Carry out regular CM inspections on site visits.- Attend project meetings and create regular progress reports.- Exercise a proactive attitude to ensure client requirements are achieved.- Exercise good Contractual knowledge on JCT & D&B Contracts- Control and oversee the snag and de-snag of projects using the SnagR system.- Control and organise the compiling and issuing of all CDM H&S and O&M manuals.- Attend project handovers and demonstrations.- Hold post contract wash up meetings.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, you'll need experience managing and tendering contracts for large scale works as well as multiple site smaller works. You'll also need to have a strong organisational skill and the ability to manage timeframes and budget while also maintaining terms of contract, so projects are completed to a high standard. While a joinery background is preferred, your new employer will be open to candidates from any trade background. You will also need to be willing to travel throughout the UK.
