Registered Nurse Position
We are looking for a Registered Nurse with post-basic qualification or experience in NNICU. If nursing neonates is your passion, then this position is for you.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, and implement advanced nursing care in a specialized field in accordance with standard nursing care procedures.
- Initiate, direct, and maintain emergency treatment (RESUS) as indicated to any patient/person in any ward/department of the hospital.
- Diagnose and treat the emergency patient quickly, effectively, and efficiently as possible within the Scope of Practice.
- Do rounds with the physician to review the condition of patients; develop nursing care plans; participate in the care of all patients in the unit.
- Evaluate patients' care needs; initiate individualized nursing care plans; coordinate patient services.
- Prepare day/night shift documentation that reflects patient status, patient/staff ratio, and problems.
- Ensure the provision of a safe, clean, and secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
- Evaluate, set standards, and monitor safe utilization of supplies and equipment.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Grade 12 or an equivalent NQF Level 4 Qualification.
- Must be a Registered Nurse currently registered with the South African Nursing Council.
- Private Hospital experience in an NNICU is advantageous.
- 3 – 5 years’ experience in the specified discipline would be advantageous.
