Sales Costing Executive

Our Client is looking for a Sales Costing Executive, located in Centurion.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Preparing and Managing Sales Quotations: Generate accurate and timely sales quotations based on customer requirements, pricing guidelines, and sales team input. Analyse floor plans and technical drawings and other documentation to prepare cost materials and labour estimates.
- Maintaining Quotation Records: Keep detailed records of all quotations issued, including pricing, terms, and any special conditions. Ensure records are organized and easily accessible.
- Coordinating with Sales Team: Collaborate closely with the sales team to understand customer needs, pricing strategies, and competitive factors. Provide support in preparing complex or high-value quotations.
- Responding to Sales Inquiries: Address customer inquiries regarding quotations, pricing, and terms in a timely and professional manner. Provide clarification and negotiate terms when necessary.
- Tracking and Analysing Quotation Data: Monitor the effectiveness of quotations by tracking conversion rates, sales volume, and profitability. Use data analysis to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Ensuring Accuracy and Compliance: Ensure that quotations are accurate, comply with company policies and pricing guidelines, and are aligned with contractual requirements.
- Coordinating with Other Departments: Work closely with other departments such as finance, operations, and customer service to coordinate activities related to quotations, orders, and customer requirements.
- Updating Pricing and Product Information: Keep pricing and product information up to date in quotation systems and databases. Communicate changes to the sales team as needed.
- Providing Administrative Support: Assist the Commercial team with administrative tasks such as preparing reports and maintaining company databases.
- Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and enhance the customer experience related to sales quotations.
Requirements
- BCom degree or similar.
- Experience as a Sales Costing Administrator or similar role.
- Experience/exposure in finance will also be beneficial.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized.
Preferred Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas and functions.
- Familiarity with communication tools (Skype, Zoom).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of the construction industry.
- Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations is an added advantage.
