Senior Inventory Controller Position available at our Midstream Branch.
The Senior Inventory Controller is responsible for efficiently managing the company's inventory and administering stock level reports. This role involves overseeing the inventory consignment process, coordinating with various departments, and contributing to the overall operational efficiency of the organization.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Inventory Consignment Management:
- Manage 3rd party consignment inventory to ensure operation efficiency.
- Update and manage the 3rd party consignment POC sheet.
- Oversee consignment inventory statuses.
- Ensure and manage accurate prices as requested by 3rd party.
- Manage auction outcome and report back to 3rd party.
- Arrange payment of successful sales.
- Analyse and report sales outcome to higher management.
Internal Consignment Inventory: - Manage internal consignment inventory to ensure operation efficiency.
- Update and manage the internal consignment inventory sheet.
- Manage and update internal consignment inventory copy natis documents.
- Arrange transportation of internal consignment inventory.
- Align and maintain consignment inventory 3rd party relationships.
- Ensure efficient operations streamline process with 3rd party auctions.
Inventory Control: Maintain both 3rd party and internal inventory stock with controlled procedures to prevent theft, loss, or discrepancies. Double check and pay attention to detail.
Vendor Management: Collaborate with 3rd parties, ensure invoicing, feedback and payments within valid time.
Communication: Maintain clear communication within the operations team and 3rd parties.
Reporting: Daily and monthly reporting. Analyse data and trends.
Improvement: Continuously assess and refine consignment inventory processes to enhance efficiency.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Education: Matric Certificate (Grade 12). Further education can be beneficial.
- Experience: Previous experience in inventory control can be beneficial.
- Attention to Detail: Strong accuracy and attention to detail when dealing with inventory.
- Communication: Effective communication skills to coordinate with various teams, vendors, and management.
- Problem-Solving: Proven ability to identify and resolve inventory-related challenges.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage multiple inventory requests simultaneously.
- Software Proficiency: Familiarity with Evolve and Microsoft software.
- Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid Driver’s License: Required.
