A business solutions company is looking for a Business Development Representative to join our expanding BDR team. As a Lead Generation Specialist, you will focus on pre-qualified prospects (C-Suite Executives) using various outreach methods including cold calling and follow-up emailing.
This role's key aspect is ensuring our client's values, culture, and high standards are maintained throughout the early business development process. The successful person must be persistent and possess the inventive skills needed to reach and intrigue the ever-elusive decision-makers.
The role would suit a proactive personality with strong research and influential skills as well as someone who is not afraid to cold call, as your success will depend on high levels of activity on the provided software.
This is a client-facing role where you will be required to schedule meetings and follow up on leads to further develop your client’s pipeline and Company Culture. The right candidate will enjoy working individually and remotely but with the support of an encouraging team based across the United States, the UK, and South Africa.

Area of Responsibility
- Be responsible for delivering on the set target (number of meetings per month).
- Nurturing and developing client pipeline.
- Daily/weekly results updates.
- High-volume prospecting through outbound calling and emailing to C-Suite Executives to generate qualified leads and set meetings.
- Scheduling meetings and information sharing on behalf of our clients.
- Qualifying prospective customers through a set of criteria and knowledge of the LSG clients’ products and services.
- Entering and maintaining accurate lead documentation and data aligned with policy processes and procedures.
- Setting meeting reminders once the meeting has been set.
- Following a specific formatting standard when interacting with and reporting on prospective clients.
- Attend all relevant training, team, and company meetings.
- Adhere to all system changes according to company SOPs.
- Behaving ethically and professionally toward clients and team members at all times.
Required working hours
- Current working hours for BDRs are from 14:00 to 22:00 (SA time) in order to align with international time zones (subject to change due to daylight savings time and location of prospects).
- Flexibility and willingness to attend the occasional team and company meetings outside of work hours.
Job Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
Qualifications: Grade 12 (Matric). Tertiary education in Sales (would be an advantage).
Experience: Minimum 3 years’ experience in Internal Sales or relevant field with direct exposure to C-Suite Executives (Must).

Internet connection Requirements
- Minimum recommended line speed per person working from home: Download: 20 MBPS, Upload: 10MBPS (stable internet connection, preferably fibre)
Remote working conditions
- Must always have access to the internet during working hours.
- Must have UPS, Inverter or Generator that can keep your Internet connection running and your laptop charged for a minimum of 3 hours.
- Must have router and LAN cable to run the dialler system.
