Overview:
Our client, a leading Private Bank and Wealth Manager is seeking an Investment Assistant to join their Wealth and Investment division. The successful candidate will be partnering with and providing operational and administrative support to the Wealth Manager. Responsibilities:
- Manage and streamline all administrative processes for the investment manager
- Assist clients with onboarding, account opening, additions, repurchases, and both ad hoc and regular payments from their investment portfolio, including the loading and processing of payments
- Manage ad hoc client queries, reporting, and administrative matters
- Note and record client instructions, e.g., investment restrictions, income requirements, etc.
- Work and engage with outside product providers and LISPs
- Assist the investment manager with client query management and resolution
- Help maintain internal stakeholder relationships
- Attend internal and external training seminars to ensure continuous professional development
- Demonstrate a fundamental understanding of asset allocation and its importance
- Understanding of tax planning, Situs Tax, CGT, and Income Tax is preferable
- Knowledge of products and competitors, along with proposal preparation
Requirements:
- Relevant tertiary qualification, and financial planning/investment planning qualification preferable
- 3+ Years in experience in financial services industry
- Worked and engaged with outside product providers and LISPs
- Strong communicator with impeccable time management skills
- Functions effectively under pressure
