Key Responsibilities: - Develop detailed 2D and 3D drawings and models based on project requirements.
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to understand project specifications and requirements.
- Revise and update existing drawings to reflect changes in design or manufacturing processes.
- Produce detailed drawings for use in fabrication and assembly.
- Ensure that all drawings adhere to industry and company standards and codes.
- Prepare bill of materials and other documentation to support production processes.
- Conduct site measurements and inspections when required to ensure drawings reflect accurate dimensions.
- Assist in resolving any design-related issues that arise during production.
- Maintain a database of drawings and revisions for reference and future use.
- Collaborate with the production team to ensure smooth workflow between design and manufacturing.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of engineering principles and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to drafting and design.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in producing drawings.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Experience with mechanical components and manufacturing processes will be an advantage.
- Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external clients.
