Main Purpose/Objectives of the Job :
Custodian of QMFS system (Devland and Alrode)
Evidence of continually improvement of the existing quality and food management system
Drive quality complaint response process (Ethos toward quality)
QA Systems fully embedded and at the correct standard
Meet budget & cost savings where possible (including COS)
Assist other 2 sites on QFMS if required.
Drive implementation of PRP processes and ensure continuous improvement
Evidence of continual improvement of the HACCP system and verification thereof.
Manage supplier quality assurance
Drive the Quality and Food Safety process
Manage the external audit process and result >92% FSA audit score.
No automatic failures and a continual reduction in major findings.
Audit process to be an accepted implemented monthly practice with very little need of pre- audit rush
Drive the non-conformance close out process.
Drive cold chain compliance
Drive housekeeping and hygiene principles
Manage training of staff on Quality and food safety management processes
Product improvement
Consistently monitor and improve product and package quality
Drive compliance to recipes and product quality.
Enforce regular shelf life tests before launching a new product.
Create product and raw material specs timeously
Drive compliance of the Kosher and Halaal certification
Management
Manage Quality team
Manage performance of each team member and have weekly 1:1
Manage their leave and overtime
Coordinate duties and responsibilities for the team
Manage and lead daily meetings
Schedule and lead problem solving initiatives and projects
Education and Experience :
Food Related Qualification -FMCG Minimum Diploma: Food Technology
Advanced HACCP certificate
Internal auditing certificate
Food Fraud & Defense certificate
FSSC 22000 training
5+ Years experience and minimum of 2 years as Quality Manager
Microsoft -Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
