About the Role :
We are seeking a talented
Intermediate Database Administrator with strong expertise in
SQL and database management. As a vital member of our IT team, you will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing our databases, ensuring data integrity, security, and high performance.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design, install, and configure SQL databases to meet company needs.
- Perform regular database maintenance tasks such as backups, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
- Monitor and ensure high availability and performance of database systems.
- Collaborate with development and IT teams to design and implement database solutions.
- Implement and maintain database security measures to protect data.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database issues efficiently.
- Manage database replication, clustering, and failover procedures.
- Ensure databases meet compliance requirements and industry standards.
Required Skills :
- Proven experience as a Database Administrator (3+ years preferred).
- Strong knowledge of SQL and database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MS SQL Server).
- Proficiency in database performance tuning and optimization.
- Experience in database security best practices.
- Familiarity with database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve database issues promptly.
- Good understanding of data modeling and database design principles.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Certifications in database management (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator, Oracle DBA).
- Experience with cloud-based databases and data replication technologies.
