Hiring: Chemical Engineer – Proposals/Sales Team (Bryanston)
Overview
Our client is seeking a motivated Chemical Engineer to join their Proposals/Sales team. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience in process engineering, sales and project bidding. This role is essential for developing high-quality proposals, ensuring that client specifications are met, and providing innovative solutions that drive business success.
Key Responsibilities
Go/No Go Meetings: Schedule and prepare for assessments to evaluate project feasibility.
Execute engineering and design for project tendering, ensuring compliance with client requirements.
Interpret and implement client specifications accurately in proposals & Propose original and cost-effective alternatives to meet project objectives.
Prepare Block Flow Diagrams (BFDs) and Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs).
Create Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and General Arrangement Drawings (GAs) with assistance from the drawing office.
Conduct design calculations and mass balances.
Compile equipment schedules and prepare Requests for Quotations (RFQs).
Cost Compilation: Compile internal cost sheets to support pricing and budgeting efforts.
Prepare technical and commercial documentation for tenders.
CRM Management: Regularly update Pipedrive with relevant project and sales information.
Compile Operation and Maintenance (O&M) proposals as needed.
Bid Clarifications
Project Handover: Organize project kick-off meetings, ensuring a complete handover to the dedicated Project Manager after contract award.
Assist with marketing initiatives, including attending exhibitions.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
Experience: 2-3 years of experience in process engineering, project bidding, or related fields.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in BFDs, PFDs, P&IDs, and GA drawings.
