Our client is seeking a highly skilled Financial Accountant to join their team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing our client's financial reporting processes, ensuring compliance with local tax laws, and supporting the broader finance function. Responsibilities:
Process financial transactions on Xero up to trial balance, including all reconciliations.
Perform payroll processing on SAGE People , ensuring payroll accuracy and completing all reconciliations.
Submit and manage tax filings (PAYE, VAT, Income Tax), while resolving any issues with SARS .
Assist with preparing consolidated financial presentations for executive and board meetings.
Support external audits from planning to finalization.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive financial performance and growth.
Coordinate effectively with the head office team and the local office to ensure alignment on financial processes and reporting.
Review and analyze monthly balance sheet reconciliations and management accounts.
Oversee month-end and year-end financial reporting processes.
Ensure accuracy and compliance in filing tax returns, managing forex payments, and submitting reporting templates.
Manage cash flow, foreign supplier account reconciliations, and the coordination of monthly stock counts.
Maintain the fixed asset register and manage petty cash.
Prepare financial reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis, including variance analysis.

Qualifications:
B Com Accounting degree with a minimum of 8 years of experience in a financial accounting role.
SAIPA or AGA(SA) or equivalent will be preferred
Experience with Xero , SAGE People , and SARS e-filing for VAT, EMP, and Income Tax.
Understanding of IFRS , financial statement preparation, and audit coordination.
Experience with cash flow, budgeting, and statutory returns is advantageous.
CA(SA) qualification highly advantageous.
Minimum working experience: 6 8 years
Experience in the Manufacturing, or Engineering sectors.
Proven experience in company consolidations and IFRS reporting.
Willingness to travel if required.
South African citizen
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Willingness to work extended hours or overtime as needed.
