Proudly South African FMCG group requires the expertise of a Senior Quality Manager focused on Food Safety to oversee all aspects of Quality Management across their factories and Distribution Centres. This is a senior-level role within the organization and reports to the COO and General Managers. This organization is known for its staff tenure and with recent expansion its team is growing.
Responsibilities:
- Ensuring that all requirements for FSSC 22000 and other relevant Food Safety Management Systems are met.
- Work closely with Quality Managers on audits
- Oversee SOP’s and policies
- Ensure alignment between the Quality Department and stakeholders
- Production and Operations meetings
- Opportunity to visit sites across South Africa every month
Requirements:
- Degree in Microbiology, Food Sciences or a related field
- 5-10 years’ experience in senior quality control roles
- Experience in the food manufacturing or production environment (FMCG)
- 3-5 years’ in a management capacity overseeing staff and operations
- Expert in food safety systems and audits
- Strong business acumen and ability to engage in a team
- An Independent and people-centric person would be ideal
