Create engaging and persuasive content that effectively communicates the brand’s message to a target audience and drives action through digital content, social media, and other mediums.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as English, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or Advertising.
- 2+ years copywriting experience.
- A basic understanding of marketing, persuasive writing techniques, and brand voice.
- Strong grammar and research skills to learn industry-specific trends.
- Ability to work collaboratively.
- Retail and agency experience preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, discuss, and understand briefs including requirements for various mediums, core messages, and objectives.
- Write clear, persuasive, and original copy that responds to the creative brief.
- Proofread all work (checking spelling and grammar) to produce an accurate and high-quality output.
- Review copy with the senior copywriter before presenting it to the creative head of copy and the brand team.
- Respond to feedback promptly and revise, re-work, and edit content as needed.
- Work on small-scale projects or parts of large-scale projects as support to the senior copywriter or the creative head of copy.
- Timeous execution of work against scheduled deadlines.
- Proactively research trends and relevant references that pertain to each project and use them to develop unique, new concepts.
- Participate in creative brainstorming sessions and share copy ideas with the senior copywriter.
- Attend kickstarts to understand brief specifics, timings, and deadlines.
- Receive guidance from the senior copywriter and creative head of copy to ensure that copy reflects the tone of the brand and sub-brands.
- Work proactively and collaboratively with others.
- Participate proactively in all briefing meetings/kickstarts.
