Must be a qualified Specialist Psychiatrist
Registered with HPCSA as an independent practice
Experience working in addiction and mental health settings
Multilingual will be an added advantage
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Compassionate and non-judgmental approach to treating patients
Must be reliable
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments of clients to diagnose and treat mental health and addiction disorders
- Develop treatment plans that include medication management, individual and group therapy, and other evidence-based interventions
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to clients
- Provide consultation and education to other healthcare professionals as needed
- Document client progress and treatment plans
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case conferences
- Provide crisis intervention as needed
- Maintain a professional, ethical and compassionate approach to all interactions with clients and colleagues
- Participate in quality improvement activities and comply with all regulatory and accreditation requirements
Payment: Self-billing as an independent practitioner.
