This position is responsible to deliver a seamless, efficient warehouse operation (receiving, warehousing and distribution). Ensure full regulatory compliance on all warehouse processes and activities including adherence to Company policies and procedures to contribute to the develop. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Strategically manage warehouse in compliance with company’s policies and vision
- Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution and maintenance operations · Setup layout and ensure efficient space utilization
- Initiate, coordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures
- Adhere to all warehousing, handling and shipping legislation requirements
- Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security (HSSE)
- Manage stock control and reconcile with data storage system
- Liaise with clients, suppliers and transport companies
- Produce reports and statistics regularly (IN/OUT status report, dead stock report etc.)
- Receive feedback and monitor the quality of services provided
- Facilitate relevant warehouse inspections
- Supervise 3rd party warehousing
- Drive customer requirements / standards
- Provide other services, as the occasion arises
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience within the Warehousing field
- Minimum 3-5 years of functional Management experience
- Ability to manage change in the work environment
- DG compliance knowledge
- SQAS knowledge will be beneficial
- Proven work experience as a warehouse supervisor
- Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices
- Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives
- Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Hands on experience with warehouse management software and databases
- Leadership skills and ability manage staff
- Strong decision making and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Good planning skills and the ability to work under pressure
- Travel will be required
