This is a newly created role and requires a well-experienced professional to bring leadership, governance, and structure to the relevant areas of the business. As such, the successful candidate will most definitely have held a similar role to be able to step into the demands of the position within a reasonable time frame.
Areas of Responsibility include:
- Managing the HR Function (less than 40 employees - including support/administrative functions and operational/site employees)
- Responsibility for Risk Management
- Responsibility for Legal Compliance (Gas Industry regulations, Labour legislation, Health & Safety, etc)
- IT Management (outsourced service provider)
- Office Management
- Strategy Management
You will have held responsibility for the HR Function within a PROFESSIONAL/CORPORATE environment AND also held responsibility for Risk Management, Legal & Regulatory Compliance, Office Management, and Business Strategy.
Experience in ALL of the above is mandatory. This is an executive-level role within a highly regulated environment.
Preference will be given to candidates from designated groups in terms of the Employment Equity objectives of the business.
Requirements
- Post Graduate Degree in HR OR Business Administration.
- 7+ years in a Senior Management role including exposure to the operational management of a business.
- 5 years HR Management experience
- Preference given to candidates from the Oil & Gas industry
