Responsibilities
- Manage and train store management and all administration staff
- Control the financial performance of the region within the budgetary constraints
- Set and ensure that the stores within the region comply with company policies and procedures
- Maintain the shrinkage in the region
- Oversee the documentation management of the branches in the region
- Develop and maintain training courses
- Provide continuous on-the-job training (coaching)
- Draw up Store Budgets
- Authorize and motivate expenses
- Conduct profit and loss analyses and initiate corrective actions, communicating to stakeholders and ensuring implementation
- Report profit and loss to branches and Divisional Management
- Ensure corrective action is taken in branches during store visits
- Follow up on out of line expenditure
- Perform monthly reconciliations (Balance Sheets)
- Conduct high-risk audit procedures
- Ensure compliance with rules, policies and procedures regarding:
- Receiving
- Cash Office
- POS Rooms/Pricing
- Stock Control
- Ensure that sectional stock takes are done monthly
- Produce stock take results and ensure accuracy
- Conduct monthly blow out stock takes
- Investigate possible theft and implement required control mechanisms
- Plan, prepare and supervise stock takes
- Investigate the validity and accuracy of the reconciliations
- Analyze the stock take reconciliations to determine corrective action
- Ensure branch filing procedures are maintained according to company policies and procedures
- Follow up on outstanding documentation:
- Cash and Banking
- Finance Department
- Head Office
- Coordinate insurance claims
Qualifications & Experience:
- Matric
- Working knowledge of ARCH system
- Valid driver’s license
- 3 years of Management experience in an admin function
