Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Adhere to established check-in and check-out procedures.
- Regularly update guest lists and distribute them to relevant departments.
- Report faults using the maintenance log for timely resolution.
- Liaise closely with Housekeeping regarding guest check-outs.
- Be well-versed in the Hotel’s Rates Policy, Front Office Procedures, Policies, and emergency procedures.
- Ensure compliance with Minimum Guest Service Standards.
- Accurately post all charges to guest folios.
- Follow credit control procedures diligently.
- Attach all relevant dockets and correspondence to guest ledger accounts before forwarding to the Accounts Department.
- Balance float, cash, and credit takings for each shift and complete cashier reports.
- Assist guests promptly and professionally when needed.
- Accurately record and execute wake-up calls.
- Maintain a professional and courteous attitude when interacting with guests and fellow staff members.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
- Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a reception or front office role within a hospitality environment is required.
