In line with their growth and commitment to excellence, they are seeking a dedicated and experienced IT Systems Engineer to join their team.
Duties & Responsibilities
Functions:
- Install, configure, and maintain servers and associated hardware and software.
- Design and implement server solutions to meet business requirements.
- Monitor server performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Optimize server performance through tuning and capacity planning.
- Provide advanced support for server-related issues, including troubleshooting and resolution.
- Collaborate with team members and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operation of server infrastructure.
- Document system configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies and best practices in server administration.
Skills:
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Office, Outlook, and Internet.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Bilingual in English and Afrikaans with strong interpersonal communication.
- Team player with a caring attitude.
- Flexible in adapting to changes and management decisions.
- Proficient in problem-solving techniques and record keeping.
- Leadership skills and ability to maintain good interpersonal relationships.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Grade 12 or equivalent.
- Diploma/Degree in IT, System Engineering, or related field.
- A+ and N+ certifications or similar qualifications.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in server, workstation, associated operating systems, and advanced application support.
- Strong ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Active listening skills to understand and address user needs effectively.
