IT Infrastructure Services Manager - Automotive Aftermarket Parts
Responsible for overseeing and managing the Company's information technology projects; coordinates phases from development to installation and acts as liaison between clients, vendors, and consultants.
Key Responsibilities
- Recommend information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes; identifying problems; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements.
- Plan, develop, and implement the IT budget, obtaining competitive prices from suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Ensure that software licensing laws are adhered to.
- Research and install new systems.
- Keep up to date with the latest technologies.
Project Management
- Develop requirements, outline budgets, and schedules for information technology projects.
- Oversee all phases of projects from conception to completion, within the allotted budget.
- Complete projects by coordinating resources and timetables with user departments.
People Management
- Provide guidance and support to IT team members.
- Mentor and train new IT support staff.
- Communicate job expectations to team members.
- Plan, monitor, and appraise job results.
- Coach, counsel, and discipline employees.
Managing Business Processes
- Evaluate user needs and system functionality to ensure that IT facilities meet these needs.
- Schedule upgrades and security backups of hardware and software systems.
- Guarantee the smooth running of all IT systems, including anti-virus software, print services, and email provision.
- Provide secure access to the network for remote users.
- Secure data from internal and external attacks.
- Offer users appropriate support and advice.
- Manage crisis situations, which may involve complex technical hardware or software problems.
- Initiate, coordinate, and enforce systems, policies, and procedures.
- Verify application results by conducting system audits of technologies implemented.
- Preserve assets by implementing disaster recovery and backup procedures and information security and control structures.

Technical Management experience, Technical Understanding, Analysing Information, Informing Others, Staffing, Problem Solving, Data Centre Management, Developing Budgets, Coordination, Strategic Planning, Quality Management.
Other Qualifications
- Excellent knowledge of Server setup and clustering; Nutanix advantageous in a datacentre; Server migrations.
- Good knowledge in RDS farm; Windows RDS.
- Excellent knowledge in DNS, Local/GoDaddy/3rd party.
- Good understanding in Managed switch configurations, VLANs.
- Excellent technical knowledge of current networking technologies (LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi), protocols, and internet standards (SD-WAN, MPLS).
- Proven track record of successfully implementing operational best practices in a distribution and warehousing environment.
- Demonstrated success with productivity and cost-savings initiatives.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft technologies including desktop OS, server OS, and supporting services (including Enterprise Active Directory domain management and AAD, Group Policy Management, Exchange, Azure/Microsoft 365 suite, Windows server 2012r2 to Server 2022).
- In-depth knowledge of virtualization technology, concepts, and associated technologies including Hyper-V, Veeam backup and replication with DR.
- In-depth knowledge of SAN and NAS technologies.
- Good understanding of Infrastructure security, Mimecast, CheckPoint, Crowdstrike, Symantec.
- Excellent SQL knowledge will be advantageous.
- Good understanding of Dell Wyse Terminal setup (ThinOS), management, and support.
