Accountant Position
My client is seeking an Accountant to report into the Financial Manager. I need a vibrant, confident individual who takes initiative. If this is you, please apply today!
Responsibilities:
- Process cashbook and recons of all bank accounts
- Process petty cash and recons of 3 branches
- Monthly recons of balance sheet accounts
- Quarterly internal audit balance sheet, include recons of all accounts
- Receive stock on Evolution, ensure prices are correct
- Prepare month end reports, ensure debtors and creditors are complete
- Review expenses for accuracy throughout the month
- Prepare and finalise management accounts for FM reviews and present during Exco
- Assist with preparation for year-end audit
- Manage expense control and expense analysis
- Prepare staff clockings time reports for month-end payroll
- Assist the Financial Manager with ad-hoc accounting and HR duties
Requirements:
- Minimum of a completed BCom degree and SAIPA Articles
- Minimum of 2 years post commercial experience
- Highly numerate
- Excellent communication skills, ideally read and write in both English and Afrikaans
- Team player, positive and respectful attitude
