URGENTLY Seeking Temporary Junior HR & Payroll Admin
This Junior HR and Payroll Administrator function consists of the payroll processing function for three companies for a duration of 2 - 4 weeks.
Duties & Responsibilities
Provisional Job Requirements:
- Office support and communication.
- Assist with procurement of HR consumable/office items.
- Maintain filing systems to ensure information is easily accessible.
- Utilize Microsoft Office 365 Suite for written, verbal, and video communication.
- Facilitate effective communication with stakeholders through meetings and documentation.
- Manage notice boards to ensure they are current and updated regularly.
- Use prescribed HR/Payroll templates.
- Ensure workspace is presentable and professional.
- Manage document control and archiving.
Payroll Data Administration:
- Assist with payroll data for approximately 180 employees, including:
- Processing weekly and monthly payroll.
- Maintaining and updating attendance management systems.
- Liaising with staff regarding payroll queries.
- Submitting payroll input information accurately and timely.
- Assisting with onboarding and offboarding information related to payroll.
- Reconciling third-party payments.
- Processing statutory declarations.
Human Resources Administration:
- Maintain manual and electronic staff files.
- Comply with HR Calendar deadlines.
- Assist with Ad-Hoc Staff Matters and Staff Functions.
- Manage shredding and destruction of correspondence.
Discipline and Performance:
- Assist with administration related to discipline, probation, and performance meetings.
Training and Development:
- Arrange training and maintain training schedules.
Health and Safety:
- Provide support with IOD administration.
Statutory and Legislative Items:
- Assist with filing of mandated items.
Recruitment and Selection:
- Support in recruitment processes.
On/Off Boarding:
- Assist with onboarding/offboarding administration.
HR Calendar / Reports:
- Assist with HR-related reports.
HR / Payroll Projects:
- Assist with HR/Payroll related projects as required.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Experience and Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Zulu language (written and verbal).
- One year experience in a similar role or payroll department.
- Relevant certificate or diploma in Payroll is advantageous.
- Experience with SAGE300 preferred.
- Current knowledge of Payroll Systems is essential.
- Fluent in Microsoft Office with advanced Excel skills.
- Experience with Time Attendance systems is advantageous.
- Good understanding of SARS/UIF & WCA procedures.
- Own vehicle and valid driver’s license.
