Food and Beverage Manager

Red Ember is looking for a Food and Beverage Manager for a Hotel in Cape Town. Someone who can achieves budgeted revenues including conceptualization, promotions, managing expenses and maximizes profitability related to the food and beverage department.
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS:
- A Three-year college degree or equivalent education/ experience.
- Four to five years of employment in a related position in a luxury hotel or resort.
- Requires advanced knowledge of the principles and practices within the Food & Beverage/Hospitality profession. This includes the knowledge required for management of people, complex problems and food and beverage management.
- Ability to study, analyse, and interpret complex activities.
- Must possess highly developed communication skills to negotiate, convince, sell, and influence other managerial personnel, hotel guests, and /or corporate clients
- Highly organized and able to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Front Office and Cashiering experience an advantage
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Display a high level of emotional intelligence and be well groomed.
- Customer orientation, professional charm and sophistication is an advantage
- Ability to work shifts and occasional overtime
