TOP CO IS LOOKING FOR COST + MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT /MANUFACTURING AND ERP SYSTEMS WITH FOCUS ON INVENTORY MANAGEMENT
Duties & Responsibilities
Inventory Management and Costing:
- Oversee and manage daily inventory operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Develop and implement costing models for products, taking into account material, labor, and overhead costs.
- Analyze and maintain accurate inventory records, highlighting trends or discrepancies.
- Collaborate with the operations team to conduct regular stock counts and reconciliations.
- Evaluate inventory turnover and recommend strategies to optimize stock levels.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities, especially as they pertain to inventory and cost of goods sold.
ERP System Administration:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the ERP system, ensuring its optimal performance and utilization.
- Train and support internal users, enhancing their proficiency and addressing any system-related queries.
- Collaborate with IT to ensure the ERP system is aligned with business needs, and implement upgrades or modifications as required.
- Monitor data integrity within the ERP system, performing regular backups and reconciliations.
- Stay updated on latest ERP trends, functionalities, and best practices to ensure the organization benefits from relevant updates.
Reporting & Analysis:
- Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual inventory and cost reports for senior management.
- Analyze variances between actuals and forecasts, providing insights into potential areas of improvement.
- Work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards.
- Recommend and implement improvements in inventory and costing processes to drive efficiencies and accuracy.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process integration or automation, especially within the ERP system.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CIMA or similar professional accreditation.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in cost and management accounting, with a focus on inventory management.
- Living in Centurion or surrounds.
- Stable track record.
- Proven expertise in ERP system administration, with hands-on experience in at least one major ERP platform.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data analysis skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to train and guide team members.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially strong on Excel.
- A proactive approach, with the ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
