HANGAR49 is looking for an ambitious and energetic Business Development Manager to expand our client base.
The role will represent the HANGAR49 Business to the market and will require focus and dedication in order to achieve the sales and client-related objectives.
The goal is to drive sustainable financial growth through boosting sales and forging strong relationships with clients.
The role is primarily a “Hunter” type role leveraging the leads made available through HANGAR49’s marketing and outreach initiatives, as well as sourced through your own efforts, networks, and activities.
Whilst the role is based out of our Cape Town office, the HANGAR49 addressable client base is not confined to South Africa, and most of our clients are offshore.
Key Attributes Required For The Role
- Working experience as a business development manager, sales executive or similar role
- Experience in digital marketing or B2B is a plus
- High proficiency in working with CRM software tools and sales pipeline management
- A drive to pursue and achieve targets and goals
- Articulate with a good command of written and spoken English
- Communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to build rapport
- Time management and planning skills
Key Areas of Responsibility
- New Business Development
Achieve the monthly target of new deals closed for HANGAR49 within assigned territories and markets.
Pursue, develop and convert into closed opportunities, leads sourced through your own efforts, networks, and activities.
Follow up, qualification and management of sales leads generated via HANGAR49 marketing and outreach efforts in order to convert into closed opportunities.
Understand, promote and position HANGAR49’S products and services with prospective clients and partners.
Provide client and market feedback to HANGAR49 product development teams.
Ensure all relevant client contracts and documents are completed as required.
Sales pipeline management and communication to HANGAR49 stakeholders and management.
Provide trustworthy feedback and after-sales support.
Build long-term relationships with new and existing clients.
Product Knowledge
Have a full and detailed understanding of the HANGAR49 service and product offering in order to adequately service potential new clients.
Regular engagement with HANGAR49 product development to understand all new business offerings and keep abreast of new service offerings or changes.
Keep appraised of industry trends and knowledge and harness this to position the HANGAR49 offering to potential clients.
Client Relationships
Nurture new prospects/leads end to end, from initial contact with the lead to onboarding of the new client.
Communicate effectively and efficiently along the journey so that they can experience the HANGAR49 client service excellence during the sales process.
Manage and actively find solutions for lead queries and concerns.
Requirements
Minimum 3 years business development or sales experience, ideally in a B2B environment.
Minimum Matric, plus ideally some form of tertiary qualification and certification.
