Introduction
Applications are invited for the position of Head of Maintenance and Support Services based at Head Office (Bruma). The successful applicant will be reporting to the Chief Technology & Information Officer. This role involves leading and guiding the maintenance and support of technology infrastructure within Air Traffic Navigation Services (ATNS) in line with the organisational vision and strategy. Responsibilities include managing infrastructure maintenance to ensure maximum application availability and minimal disruption, providing leadership in support and maintenance of core systems, and maintaining a secure technology environment.
Major Activities
- Lead the development and implementation of the technology infrastructure maintenance & support strategy.
- Provide leadership in the planning and management of technology infrastructure maintenance and support services.
- Ensure procured equipment meets end-user requirements.
- Provide technical expertise to maintenance and support programs.
- Ensure system performance and SLAs are met.
- Develop and implement initiatives for effective support of technical service delivery.
- Evaluate and enhance current policies and procedures.
- Manage maintenance and support contracts to ensure high performance.
- Stay abreast of current trends and implement solutions for effective service delivery.
- Manage and negotiate relevant contracts to support service delivery.
- Coach and mentor team members to ensure timely project completion.
Minimum Qualifications
B. Eng /BSc in Engineering (Electrical/Electronics) /B-degree in Computer Science /Information Technology or related field.
Post graduate degree in Computer Science/ Information Technology / Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
Leadership/management qualification is an advantage.
8 years’ experience in technology infrastructure maintenance and support, with at least 5 years at a management level.
Experience in aeronautical communication, navigation and surveillance systems is required.
Personal Attributes
High level of drive and determination, energy, and organizational skills.
Knowledge Required
Knowledge of cloud technologies, service management frameworks, and ICAO regulations.
